Boys Head Coach
Gregory Smith
Greg Smith rowed locally for Holy Spirit High School, winning several medals at the Stotesbury and Nationals, including the National Championship in the Junior 8 in 1997. He also rowed for Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY, and has competed in lifeguard rowing events for the Ventnor Beach Patrol for 30 years, as well as masters-level rowing events for Viking Rowing Club.
Smith has coached rowing at Holy Spirit (2002), EHT (2003-4), and Absegami (2005-6). He lives in Linwood and teaches history in EHT schools.

Boys Freshman / Novice Coach
Colin Fair​
Colin Fair competed for both St. Augustine Prep and Stockton University throughout his career as a rower. At Stockton, he helped revitalize a program decimated by Covid, leading them to the podium in their conference championship for the first time in recent memory. Volunteering at ACRA summer programs provide his only experience as a coach, and he is very excited to start his first season as a high school coach. He enjoys practicing jiu jitsu and reading a good book in his free time.

Entering 40th yr Coaching, prior teams: HSHS Girls, ACHS Girls, St. Augustine Prep, The Stewards Foundation - Tampa, Founder Atlantic County Rowing Association. Help start, EHT, Oakcrest and Absegami crew teams. Former President SNJSRA

Girls Head Coach
Matt Mohnack
Matt Mohnack rowed locally for St. Augustine, earning medals at the Stotesbury Cup and Philadelphia City Championships. Matt also achieved several County and State championships, including a National Championship, before continuing to row for Drexel University. In his time at Drexel he secured several fall and spring medals, including at the Dad Vail regatta and a team high finish at the IRA regatta. Matt is a mechanical engineer with the FAA and has been coaching Mainland Girls since 2019.

Girls Assistant Varsity Coach
STEPHANIE HANLIN-HALE
Steph is from Somers Point and started rowing like most in the area on the back bays of Ventnor/Atlantic City. She continued rowing at Mainland Regional HS for the next four years. Steph received a full athletic scholarship to row at Temple University where is sat stroke for the varsity 8 all four years. Upon graduation she continued to row for UBC master’s program on Boat House Row. Living in Philadelphia, Steph coached high school girls crew at Merion Mercy Academy and Radnor High School. She also worked for Sykes Rowing in sales and boat repairs at this time. Steph now resides back in Somers Point with her husband and works for the family printing business. You can see her working at Somers Point bars and she is the secretary on the Somers Point Business Association.
